Two Days Dedicated to Real Learning
The training was held in person at 4TFront’s premises, led by a highly qualified Cambium-certified instructor with a genuine passion for the technology. From the first session to the last, the course was designed to create real, applied capability. Over the two days, participants explored the full Cambium technology stack, with a particular focus on cnMaestro, Cambium’s centralised cloud and on-premises network management platform.
What the Course Covered
The programme was structured to balance theory with hands-on practice, giving participants the opportunity to configure and manage real Cambium hardware in a live training environment.
Topics covered included:
- cnMaestro: Centralized network monitoring, configuration, and management
- Wi-Fi Access Points: Deployment, configuration, and optimisation
- Switches: Enterprise-grade switching managed through cnMaestro
- NSEs: SD-WAN and edge network management
- Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint wireless links: Long-range connectivity solutions
Participants got their hands on the equipment and put their knowledge into practice in real time. That hands-on element is what transforms training from a passive experience into a genuine skill-building exercise.
What is Cambium Networks?
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Cambium Networks Corporation is an American telecommunications technology company that designs and manufactures wireless networking equipment and broadband solutions used across the globe.
Cambium’s technology is particularly powerful in scenarios where deploying fibre is not practical, bridging the digital divide in rural, remote, and underserved communities, while also delivering enterprise-grade solutions in urban environments.
Their product portfolio spans access points, enterprise switches, point-to-point backhaul links, and software-defined networking tools, all managed through the cnMaestro platform. Most recently, Cambium’s Wi-Fi 7 access point earned OpenRoaming certification, further extending its connectivity solutions.
cnMaestro: The Central Focus
A significant portion of the training was dedicated to cnMaestro, and for good reason. As Cambium’s flagship network management platform, cnMaestro gives network administrators and service providers a single pane of glass to:
- Configure devices remotely, at scale
- Monitor network performance and health in real time
- Troubleshoot issues across distributed infrastructure
- Manage firmware updates, access controls, and reporting
